firstdefence Posted December 24, 2022 Share Posted December 24, 2022 Workaround: Plug the media back in, open a different image located on the local drive, close Affinity Photo. Clear User Data... In Version 2 you are presented with a different Clear User data screen, the top three options are selected by default, you can uncheck them and just select the "Reset Most Recent Documents" leave everything else unchecked. To get this screen, hold down the CTRL key and open Affinity Photo, select the option mentioned and then click on Clear, Affinity Photo will now open or will try to open. I don't know if this will work but worth a try. Honestly I don't know, I've never heard of this issue, I might try this later and see if I can reproduce it, in the meantime just add your OS version and the external device make and model if possible to see if this is a device or OS X issue.
