RAW or JPEG in Developer: crop or white balance crash the app

Since yet another bug appears to halt my workflow I’ve decided to re-write and update this post.
It’s all within the Developer persona in Photo 2 on an iPad Pro (3rd generation) running iPadOS 16.2

1. Crop-Crash
Import a photo (RAW or JPEG doesn’t make a difference) to Photo 2, change to the Developer persona, crop & double tap/click > crash. Reliably, every time.
Workaround: crop in the old version of Photo > save > import into Photo 2

2. White Balance Crash
Same approach as before, toggle the white balance button, click the refresh (?) symbol to the left of it > crash

The beauty of those two issues is that of course they take everything that you might have done so far with them unless you bothered to save after every successful step.

@JustARalf

Thanks for your reports, we have replicated them both, and reported them to the developers. The Develop Persona white balance issue is due to be fixed in the upcoming 2.0.4 patch, and the Develop Persona crop crash has a candidate fix that once tested will also be addressed in a future update, though I do not know which release version yet.

Sorry that you have experienced this problem with the 2.0.3 release of the Affinity Suite.

We have now released 2.0.4 on all platforms, and using that build this problem no longer occurs.
