HerrBill Posted December 21, 2022 Posted December 21, 2022 How does one correct out of colour gamut. I use the Qimage utility for printing. On my recent images I have been getting out of colour gamut warnings. Up to now I have never bother checking for out of gamut and prints have turned out fine. This time around my prints came out sickly looking. In fact they printed showing that horrible, looking out of gamut grey. I have rechecked my settings but to no avail. For example I processed and printed the image using the sRGB profile and it still was out of gamut. Can anybody shed any light on what may be wrong?
Ron P. Posted December 22, 2022 Posted December 22, 2022 For checking use the Soft Proof Adjustment Layer Out of Gamut Color Is there anything in your project using CMYK, or Adobe RGB, or even ProPhoto RGB? Those have a wider gamut then sRGB. Affinity Photo 2.6..; Affinity Designer 2.6..; Affinity Publisher 2.6..; Affinity2 Beta versions. HerrBill Posted December 23, 2022 Author Posted December 23, 2022 Thanks for drawing my attention to the soft proof adjustment layer. I wasn't aware of its existence. It has done its magic for me. Thanks
