StudioJason Posted December 20, 2022 Posted December 20, 2022 Firstly, thanks so much for the new Updates to V2 Photo/Design/Pub, especially right before the Holidays! Wondering if this was supposed to fix the PDF Importing…whereby any Imported PDF Text Paragraphs were only capable of Single Line editing? Because, any PDF imported still maintains Single Line Editing of Paragraphs only…does not compile them together into Text Frames. ‘Or was this not supposed to be a update for that, merely PDFs in general? As you are probably aware, and as background for other readers of this thread, PDF file format is not an interchange format by design, though it has become something of one by default/accident. PDF format has no concept of blocks/paragraphs of text. It is a reader format where every line of text is individual in the file. However in the desktop version there is an option to try to merge lines/blocks of similar text back into the paragraphs that probably created them in the source file. That leads to a reduction in fidelity, but more editability. That option to allow the fudging of the lines of text back into blocks & paragraphs is what has not been implemented in the UI on iPad. Could it be possible to simply have the Convert to Text Frame do the trick, after Selecting all the layers first…similar to Grouping in Layers Panel? I mean, already The Convert to Text Frame(and Convert to Art Text) are somewhat useless…other than specific rare cases. Patrick Connor 1 Quote
