UkeyD
Hi there, I recently bought Affinity 2 and am having issues with it already! (the wheel of death while trying to use the blur brush tool - it doesn’t work on either of my computers, my old iMac Intel or my brand new Macbook Air M1). I’m unable to blur parts of the photo with this tool. I’ve tried it in Affinity Designer 2 and Affinity Photo 2 on both macs... Is anyone else experienceing this? Maybe I’m doing something wrong but can’t fathom it if I’m using a brand new mac. Thanks for your help UkeyD
UkeyD
Also since opening this and saving it in Affinity 2 I now can’t open it in the original Affinity software. Aaaah and I need to get a job done asap! Thanks again for your help.

Any native Affinity files saved in V2 are for V2 only. You can perhaps Copy the data using V2, and Paste it into a new document in V1. Or perhaps Copy then use File > New from Clipboard in V1. Sorry, but I can't help with your other problem. UkeyD
Hi again, another issue with Affinity 2 is that it keeps quitting unexpectedly! Oh dear...I’m not sure the upgrade is as good as the original...the original version seems to be much more reliable..any thoughts would be appreciated. If I keep finding issues with the new version I may have to go back to using the original version...
UkeyD
I wish I had explored it with the trial version instead of buying it...but because I love the original Affinity software, I trusted it would be a fantastic upgrade as advertised...though so far I haven’t seen the benefit of the Affinity 2... UkeyD
Hi Lee, Not as much actually but that may be because I'm not using it as often at the moment..I have been using it mostly on a iMac from 2014 so it could be that is the issue...though the original version is fine on the iMac...thanks for getting in touch.. Lee Hi Lee, yes still having issues! I’m working on a project at the moment on the new version and it it can’t seem to cope with simple tasks...and then spins the wheel of death and I have to force quit! At least it enables me to open a recovery file!
