First attempt at using the mosaic files from Artifex Forge as the border with a photo from one of the mosaic pavement in the Azores. Quite pleased for the first go.

Hi, nice.
Could you share more details about this project with us?
Was the Affinity only software which was needed?
Maybe there were some problems you met, or maybe you have some tips for other users in printing on t-shirts.
What method of printing was used and what were the requirements?
Have you other t-shirts made by you?

Beside the t-shirts, do you have other experiences with Affinity and professional printing, and if so what you can say about it?

Thanks. It's great to get the attaboys. Thanks again.
Here's a summary of the process.

Software:

  • Affinity Designer (AD)
  • Silhouette Studio Designer Edition (SS)
  • Artifex Forge Mosaic Maker
  • Online Studio to SVG converter

Equipment and materials:

  • Silhouette Cameo v3
  • Heat press
  • Heat Transfer Vinyl (HTV)
  • T-shirt

I imported the boat image from the internet and traced it using Silhouette Studio. Saved it as a .studio file. I used an online service to save it as an SVG file (http://www.ideas-r-us-software.uk/FileConverters/SilhouetteStudioConverter.aspx).

I cleaned up the SVG file in AD and created the border design using Artifex Mosaic Maker.

Exported the design as PNG (SVG won’t work) and traced it in SS. Resized as needed and cut the HTV on the Cameo. Printed it onto the T=shirt.

It’s a pity that AD doesn’t have a trace function, but not the end of the world.
I'll post a few more of my t-shirts later.
