ErnieAd
When I first purchased Affinity Photo several years ago, all appeared to work seamlessly. Then, it started to hang whenever it felt like it and it does not recover but has to be forced closed and then restarted causing considerable lost data. What has happened??? Thanks! RichardMH
First make sure your graphics drivers are up to date. If that doesn't help, turning off hardware acceleration is worth a try if you have it on. Edit->Preferences->Performance. If that doesn't help, resetting user data might help. Hold control when you start up. But back up your macros and assets etc first.

ErnieAd
Thanks for your responses! I have updated the NVidea driver and will now: - Check the windows settings for Affinity to try to ensure that Affinity is using the NVidea card. - Reset Affinity as suggested by pressing the "Ctrl" key while starting up.
