Access to newly purchased programme ver2 dec2022

Recommended Posts

Hello @philip g thompson, and welcome to the forum.

If you are on Windows (you don't say), then enter Publisher 2 in the box at the bottom left.

There are other ways, but you need to specify your platform or Operating System.

Thanks for quick reply. I am using Windows 10 OS. I am on desk top and serif folder takes me to your web site to buy another copy. I have already bought a copy. I used the search facility (bottom left corner)and that just gives me various ways of getting to your selling web site. How to I access the programme I bought? How do I get from your web site to my programme copy? I have been into my account and it just offers another down load (at a price),

It sounds like maybe you have downloaded the installer(s) but have not installed the apps yet. If that's the case and you don't know where the installer(s) were downloaded, try searching your computer for the installer files. I don't know which apps you purchased... these are the 3 possible files you downloaded:

(These are the files you get if you purchased from the Affinity Store. I'm not sure how it works if you purchased from another store.)

affinity-designer-2.0.0.msix
affinity-photo-2.0.0.msix
affinity-publisher-2.0.0.msix

By default the msix files are downloaded to your Downloads folder. This should appear near the top of the list in your File Explorer window.

Thanks its more difficult for you to get your head round my problem , than it is for me. - I found the downloaded programme under Publisher2 between Word and Teams in the bottom bar. I have always put my Page Plus and Affinity programmes under Serif as the owner does not change , even if the name of the programmes does. I think Serif should indicate where to save the new programmes when they change versions as us duffers just do as we are told and if they change the destination for a suite of programmes they they should indicate where they should go with at least they are under A rather than S, as in the past.  Philip (Age 77 and about to enter a new and challenging world of the same as usual).
