Photo 2 file location hidden?

Recommended Posts

I find this really odd but when I right click in Windows and ask to have the file location opened I get a search page showing me basically nothing like what I'm asking for.  I haven't upgraded to Designer 2 so when I right click on the Designer 1 icon for the file location I get the Program Files directory opened up for as it should be.

So why is Serif hiding this newer version of of their software or is this being used on line with a desktop look and feel UI?  That's the only thing my mind can come up with...

Thanks for helping me understand this.

Serif decided to utilize the Windows MSIX technology for version 2, similar to apps that are installed from the Microsoft Store. You can see their reasoning in this FAQ:

There was a great outpouring of grief and rage over this decision, and Serif have agreed to also release an MSI-based installer. You can search the forum for msix if you really want to read what various users have said.
