Problem copying and pasting from Affinity Photo to other apps

Recommended Posts

Hello,

When I copy and paste from Affinity Photo 2 to Photoshop, the image appears smaller and pixelated, like the sample that I´ve uploaded,
Also when exporting the jpg image from Affinity Photo to upload to this forum the upload fails,
in the end I had to export it in Photoshop
Any solution?

Thanks!!

Thank you!!

Vector objects and live text should paste as a Smart Object in PS.

The DPI of the Photo document and the PS document don't match. Make sure to set your PS document to the same resolution as the source.

MacBookAir 15": MacOS Ventura > Affinity v1, v2, v2 beta // MacBookPro 15" mid-2012: MacOS El Capitan > Affinity v1 / MacOS Catalina > Affinity v1, v2, v2 beta // iPad 8th: iPadOS 16 > Affinity v2

in Affinity Photo I create new file from clipboard and it pastes at 96dpi, shouldn't it be 72dpi? It's strange.

96 DPI when creating a new file from clipboard was a surprise to me, too. It is intended behavior in Affinity apps on Windows.

To avoid 96 DPI, I created a 72 DPI document preset that’s the size of my screenshots — in my case it’s the size of 2 monitors. Instead of pasting from clipboard, I create a new document from the preset and paste into that. But, not much help if the copy is from a selection.
