bwana4swahili Posted December 4, 2022 Posted December 4, 2022 Running the latest version of Affinity Photo on a Windows 10 desktop. When I try to stack 112 light subs using the New Astrophotography Stack tool it comes back with a cannot align images message. However, the New Stack tool works just fine BUT it did take a few hours to do the job. I tried to attach one of the files in the stack, a 227MB file, but your system wouldn't accept it. Quote
Staff Chris B Posted December 5, 2022 Staff Posted December 5, 2022 Hey bwana4swahili, Can you upload a few samples here please - https://www.dropbox.com/request/UB8JDK6klsagmd905uGA 227MB is quite large and stacking 112 at that size is going to take a while. Chances are it's running out of physical memory and using swap to process the stack which, on Windows will take an age. bwana4swahili Posted January 13, 2023 Author Posted January 13, 2023 I don't have the internet bandwidth to upload large files. I'll just stay with Photoshop and PixInsight to align/stack astrophotography subs. bwa Chris B 1 Quote
