Shape Builder Tool

Recommended Posts

Affinty people, a very good approach on the Shape Builder tool. Much appreciated for listening to your customers.

Feedback for now:
- When selecting multiple shapes (without selected specific commands in context toolbar):
Hitting "cmd + z" removes all selections, not just the last one which would be preferred. Aka all selection gone, and have to start over

- When selecting multiple complex shapes (without selected specific commands in context toolbar):
Pressing "create a new shape from selected areas" after selected shapes, it adds a shape to layers as intended. Would also be great to show some sort of indication in grid on the shape already build (none destructive), without the need to go in and select layer and add fill or similar.

For multiple complex shapes, and working none destructive, the techniques above can be beneficial . I'm aware of "workarounds" by pre-selecting commands in context tool bar etc, but for certain processes, the approaches mentioned above is preferred. A fix would be highly appreciated. Unless it's a local software bug here😳😂

Here on Mac OS 11.7.1 I see only one History entry for the selections, "Set Current Selection". I I want to remove something I use the Shift + Click on the errant selection.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

L'outil est vraiment intéressant mais il est très intransigeant sur la précision des tracés.
Peut-on envisager une tolérance qui considère que pour un décalage de 0.0... mm la forme peut être crée ?

The tool is really interesting but it is very intransigent on the accuracy of the paths.
Can we consider a tolerance that considers that for an offset of 0.0... mm the shape can be created?

oops ! Je suis sous windows. Mais pas certain que ça change grand chose :)

oops! I'm under windows. But not sure it changes much :)
