TwangerMan Posted December 2, 2022 Posted December 2, 2022 Hoping there is a way for the grid to stay, including between sessions and in new documents. thanks Quote
R C-R Posted December 2, 2022 Posted December 2, 2022 If I understand what you are asking about correctly, I think grids are document specific (the settings & visibility are saved in the document) so different documents can have different grid properties. Of course, you could make a template for new docs for a given size & grid, but that would only work for new docs made from that template. TwangerMan Posted December 2, 2022 Author Posted December 2, 2022 The grid keeps disappearing, even while I am still in the same document and not closing it. The grid keeps turning off. I go to do something else, open another app on the iPad, come back to Designer, and the grid is off. I keep having to turn it back on. And of course, every time I close the document, reopen it or open a new one, I have to turn the grid back on. I would think Designer would remember my grid settings. It doesnt. Quote
GarryP Posted December 2, 2022 Posted December 2, 2022 Are you using an iPad when this happens? I ask because you mention using another application on the iPad but have posted this thread in the Desktop questions section. Quote
walt.farrell Posted December 2, 2022 Posted December 2, 2022 OP has now reposted in iPad questions: TwangerMan: It would perhaps have been simpler just to answer Garry's question. Then a Moderator could have moved the whole thread, and then the iPad question would have the full context. TwangerMan Posted December 2, 2022 Author Posted December 2, 2022 Yes, using iPad. My bad. Didnt see the iPad forum. Saw the macOS and thought that meant iPad. Not an Apple guy. I will repost there. Quote

Got sidetracked... walt.farrell 1 Quote
