Patchwork
I'm just starting to use the new App Store version, and while trying to draw with the pen tool, it keeps trying to force me to use guides and snapping points. I can't find in View where to disable that. Please let me know, because it won't let me lay down a point where I need it to. It keeps wanting me to snap it somewhere else! Thanks in advance! Staff MEB Posted January 27, 2016 Staff Share Posted January 27, 2016 Hi Patchwork, Click on the Snapping icon on the Persona toolbar to disable snapping. To turn off guides go to menu View and uncheck Show Guides. Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
R C-R
You can turn snapping on & off using the snapping switch on the toolbar (looks like a horseshoe magnet) or temporarily while drawing by holding down the alt/option key. Staff MEB Posted October 19, 2023 Staff Share Posted October 19, 2023 Hi @Yasmineseadancer, Welcome to Affinity Forums Do you mind attaching a full app video showing it happening please? A screenshot of the Snapping settings (the arrow near the magnett icon in the main toolbar or menu View > Snapping) can be also useful. Thanks. Staff MEB Posted October 19, 2023 Staff Share Posted October 19, 2023 That's probably because of the Bleed set for the document. Set the bleed to zero and check if the problem persist. Remember to re-add the bleed when you finish editing the doc. What Affinity Publisher version are you running? This is already fixed in version 2.0.0.1496 and above.
