Rheinwehr Posted December 1, 2022 Posted December 1, 2022 Hey, i recently imported all projects from V1 to V2. Sadly the magnet does not work with older shapes. If i create a new shape in an old file, it works as intended. PS: I imported them by saving into iCloud and Drag n Drop them into V2 Quote

Rheinwehr Posted December 4, 2022 Author Posted December 4, 2022 Okay so i found out, that i gotta touch all the shapes to trigger the magnet. This will reset after closing and open a Project. Then the Shapes needs to be touched again. FullSizeRender.MOV Quote
Dan C Posted December 9, 2022 Posted December 9, 2022 Hi @Rheinwehr, Welcome to the Affinity Forums Thanks for your report and our sincerest apologies for the delayed response here. We are exceptionally busy following the release of V2 and we thank you for your continued patience and understanding here. I can confirm I've been able to replicate this issue and therefore I am logging this with our developers now, to be resolved ASAP. I hope this helps! Rheinwehr 1 Quote
Dan C Posted December 9, 2022 Posted December 9, 2022 Just as an update, a colleague has found this is occurring due to the Snapping Candidates being lost when re-opening the file (which is certainly a bug that our team can work to resolve) but in the meantime if you change the Snapping options from 'Snapping Candidates' to 'All Layers', you should find that snapping works without the need to select each object first Rheinwehr 1 Quote
