SantoMena
Hi, I have an App for Mac. When I save or export a file, I see the option to save the file to a cloud called "Affinity Photo 2" which doesn't appear on my desktop. Can I have information about it? Is it a free service for those who bought the program? Or does it have a cost and if so what? What are the storage limits? Is it safe? Thanks for the info
PaoloT
Isn't it a service automatically supplied to all apps compatible with iCloud? Paolo
SantoMena
PaoloT: Isn't it a service automatically supplied to all apps compatible with iCloud? Paolo I wander if it is. In any case I did not find info related to the available space in terms of memory (MB-GB TB?). Do you have any tip? S

It is part of the Mac OS. It is a cloud service, meaning it is storage somewhere on the internet. I personally don't use it for anything other than my email, Safari bookmarks and contacts. I just don't trust being able to connect to it on a continuous and steady basis which is absolutely necessary for the use of the Affinity suite, I would need a much faster internet service. The files saved there are not on my computer but they are available to my Macs and my iPad when I am online with them. There is a certain amount of space available from Apple which is free but to be honest I have made Photo files that are quite large so a few of them would exceed that free amount. I would suggest going to the Apple site and reading up on iCloud there, rather than relying on information from some random person (me) on this forum. PaulEC
Just a guess, but could it be a folder created on the iCloud drive? On my Macs I only ever see iCloud Drive in the iCloud section. But as I said I don't use the iCloud. And there have been enough reported problems about all the various cloud services not being friendly with the Affinity applications to make me suggest you should think about not using it for the Affinity applications as well. Just my (basically ignorant) opinion. There are a slew of options about what will show up on the Desktop, seems to me that there are more added with each OS release. SantoMena
You are right Paul, I was confused by the indication of the Affinity Photo cloud as in the image, but then I checked that Affinity Phote creates a folder in iCloud Edited November 30, 2022 by SantoMena
