Uwe-R-aus-B Posted November 29, 2022 Posted November 29, 2022 For some reason I cannot just click an image frame - it always chooses the image inside the image frame but never the frame itself. What am I missing? Thanks in advance and Kind Regards, Uwe Quote
Old Bruce Posted November 29, 2022 Posted November 29, 2022 Works for me here on Mac OS 11.7 Which tool are you using? I use the Move tool (the arrow) and have no problem with it, If I double click I get the image, if I Command + Click I get the image. This with clicking on the canvas, not the Layers panel. I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
Uwe-R-aus-B Posted December 5, 2022 Author Posted December 5, 2022 I did not use or try doubleclick as I did not on the former version. I don't want to get the image but its image frame. So, yes with a click I get the image but not with any click its frame. I only get the frame by clicking it in the layers panel. And also yes, of course I use the move tool. Quote
Uwe-R-aus-B Posted December 6, 2022 Author Posted December 6, 2022 I tried again as well with wacom and the mouse in OS 10.15. and a single click does not choose the frame but always the image which is maybe a bug. Because one has to be able to simply move the frame and mostly not the image inside that frame first. Quote
Brian_J Posted December 6, 2022 Posted December 6, 2022 With the Move Tool selected, and a layer selected, is 'Allow selection to consider items inside a group' enabled in the Context Toolbar? If so, disable it and that should allow you to select the Picture Frame. Note: The 'Allow selection to consider items inside a group' may be in a different location than in my screenshot, depending on what type of layer you have selected. Uwe-R-aus-B Posted December 6, 2022 Author Posted December 6, 2022 This is what I call a solution, thanks - as I did not change it (except I did it accidentially) it was setup like this by default? I was not aware of this button and of its function at all. What's the purpose of it? Thanks for that great hint towards this tiny little button and the solution to my issue (before I emberass myself and report a bug). Kind Regards, Uwe Brian_J 1 Quote

I thought it was disabled by default, but not positive. 4 hours ago, Uwe-R-aus-B said: I was not aware of this button and of its function at all. What's the purpose of it? It's just an option that may appeal to users, depending on how they like to work or what they're working on. It's faster to single-click to select a nested object rather than having to double click, sometimes multiple times, to drill down into a folder to select an object. Uwe-R-aus-B Posted December 6, 2022 Author Posted December 6, 2022 I must admit, not to be 100% sure if it really was set by default - it could have happened accidentialy but I was simply not aware of this button. Quote
