Saving a "print job preset" is incomplete on recall

This is in Publisher 2 on MacOS Ventura 13.0.1.

Attempting to save the settings in the print dialogue window as a "print job preset" *and* "custom print job preset" are seemingly buggy, as the recall of the saved setting will lack *either* (in my case) Printer Options > Color Matching > Profile: [My chosen ICC profile] *or* Printer Options > Color / Quality > [The printer quality options] when I recall the setting the next time I want to print using those settings.

I don’t know if this issue is with your applications or Ventura, but I’m guessing that it’s Ventura.

Hi @tatanka,

We've not been able to replicate your issue on Ventura or Monterey, the ICC profile and print quality settings are retained that the Preset was originally created with when recalled. Could you provide me with a screen recording which demonstrates the issue from creating the Preset to recalling it?

Screen recording guide: https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT208721

Many thanks!

I think this is a Ventura issue. I made screen-recording of the issue, but from the print dialogue window of Preview. In the screen-recording I create and save a new preset, then close Preview, then re-open the document, then opening the Print dialogue window (Cmd+P), select the just created preset, then inspect the settings of said preset. Here we can observe that the correct ICC-profile is not recalled, but the DPI setting is.

Thanks for sending that over, since the print dialog framework is shared with other mac apps it's possibly a Ventura issue as you've mentioned. Since we've not been able to replicate this yet, do you mind confirming this by trying this in an alternative app (such as Pages)?

Many thanks

Page Orientation settings not preserved in print presets.

I have a similar problem. Perhaps this is a Ventura issue, but in case it helps, here it is:

Print > Layout > Reverse Page Orientation: On/Off

--This setting is not preserved when the settings are saved as a preset (Presets > Save Current Settings As Preset).

In other words, presets don't work if this setting is needed. It's a serious problem for this sort of print job, where appropriate settings can save a lot of frustration (and wasted paper).

Hello, first of all, thank you all for the publications of this error, I have it too, with mac os ventura 13.5.2, what surprises me is to see that the first error reported in this forum is from December 2022 and I I am seeing that it still exists on 17 Sep 2023. I don't know if it will be a Ventura or Affinity probelam, but I want to write this in case my contribution helps find a solution:

I make a print preset, I save it with a name, I print (so far so good) the problem is when I close the document and close affinity publisher, I open the document again and when trying to print, selecting the created preset or even leaving selected, it does not save all the presets, only some such as the print quality, but others, such as the option to print in book format, are not recovered.

I have noticed that if I click on the preset several times, it does load correctly! but I have to click several times... (strange) I'm going to look for this error in some Mac Ventura forum, but I leave it here with the intention of helping shed more light on this error and so that we can find the solution.

P.S. Thank you Affinity for your suite, it is the first time we have paid for a program because you have shown us that it deserves its price and we love the one-time payment, not like Adobe. Thank you
