Provided you have set up keyboard shortcuts for Select > Select Next/Previous and Select Parent, you can paste relatively quickly by going:

  1. select 1st artboard in Layers panel
  2. paste (via shortcut)
  3. select parent (via shortcut)
  4. select next (via shortcut)
  5. paste
  6. select parent
  7. etc.

Thanks, we'll think about that. in meantime (and might not help but thought I'd mention) you could explore setting up a master layer as a symbol which is on each of your artboards (only really works this when all artboards are same size). Then any common elements you want on each of your artboard could be placed on that layer and they are always sync'd between them. Elements on other layers can be kept unique to that artboard.
