Quick Grid on iPad

Hi, just watched the Video about new features on Affinity Designer.

How can I do the Quick Grid function on the iPad?

Items should Snap to Grid….make sure you have Snapping option selected as well.

Hi, thanks for your answer, but this is not what I meant. 
I meant creating a grid made for example of one square and than duplicated again by using the area keys and simply change the direction or size

In iPad I believe this is referred to as power duplicating.

Your simply draw first rectangle and use Document menu to duplicate. Move the duplicate to new position and DocMenu Duplicate again. Now every time you repeat DocMenu Duplicate it will copy and move by the initial amount. Should work with Quickmenu (long press) duplicate too.

That's just the old Power Duplicate feature from V1, isn't it? Not the new Quick Grid feature that V2 provides.

I can't find it in the Help, but the Affinity Store listing of new features in Designer doesn't say it's "for desktop only" as it does for other non-iPad features.

I think not everything new on V2 on Mac is availabe on iPad.

Was searching for the new Style Picker, but on iPad V2 I only find the Colour Picker

Correct. Some functions are not available. And the Affinity Store tells us which ones. For example, the Tech Specs for Designer tell us (with my emphasis😞

But for the Quick Grid, the Store tells us:

• Repeating objects in a grid

Since that does not say it's for the desktop, it should be available on the iPad.

For that Feature…was wondering if it worked or not if one has an external keyboard.
Don’t have one, can never check or use shortcuts other than with new Modifier button now.

I guess they like to keep some features to add interest in later updates😁
