Grid Not Showing When New Document Selected.

Recommended Posts

Possible bug: Is there a way to set a default Grid Preset in V2? I create graphic/title screens for video in Photo, using the Web - FHD 1080p when creating a new document. I used to be able to use the keyboard shortcut (Cmd ') on Mac to view/hide the grid, but now I first have to choose Preset from the Grid and Snapping Axis dialogue popup menu every time. I searched the Forum, but didn't see anything there, nor could I find the answer in the Help Guide. I realize there are many default document sizes which require different grid sizes, but it would be nice to be able to set a default grid without having to select the grid for each and every document.

@Gerry Fraiberg: the grid setting Automatic in Photo is now a Pixel grid, and will only be visible at relatively high zoom levels. If you want a grid that is visible all the time, you will need to choose a different grid style, as you have found.

I have not tried this, but perhaps this would work for you: Create a new empty document, set up the grid as you want it. then use File > Export as Template and save that as a new document Template. Then, for your next document, just use the Template you saved rather than using a Preset.
