MxHeppa
Is way do kerning to whole text ? i way like all places where it needed. no always like tracking is. using kerning all possible letter places is really time consuming.
walt.farrell
The appropriate kerning for a font is supposed to be set by the font designer, and a user should only have to handle odd situations (as I understand it). And kerning always applies to specific pairs of letters. So I don't think it would make sense to say "kern the whole text". It might make sense to say "wherever these two letters occur next to each other, adjust their kerning". That way, if you adjust the kerning between, say, x and y, that specific adjustment would apply throughout the text. But you can't just say "kern everything". Should you, perhaps, be looking into justification settings, such as minimum letter spacing, maximum letter spacing, and desired letter spacing? Those can be set in Paragraph Text Styles, or in the Paragraph panel. Also, you didn't say text on a path was involved, but I should not have assumed Frame Text. Sorry for that.
