To invert high pass

Nadar

Recommended Posts

Hi 😉

I am on an Ipad.

I’d like to invert « high pass » filter.

When I go to the channels,  I do not see « high pass » (to be able to click on the 3 points to get to invert.)

Why is not it there ?

Maybe it has an other name ?

Can someone help ?

Thanks

Which version are you using. The layer you highlighted is a pixel layer not a HP filter layer.

I tried to go back to channels and to invert again (inverting the past « invert ») but the grey page does not appear…🤫

Its only grey when normal blend mode used. Did You change blend mode away from normal?

When you say INVERT, are you trying to convert a HIGH PASS FILTER to a LOW PASS FILTER? If so use Frequency Separation filter instead.

-You are right DM1, the blend mode was not on « normal ». But if I select on « normal » : I get a grey page but as you can see, even if I put the radius on « 0 » one can see it is not whole on grey…

-No Paul, I don’t.

At various times while editing you appear to have inadvertently selected the HPFilter and modified it’s mask. 🙁 Just reselect the filter and paint with white to fill the mask in.

Perhaps it would help if you explain what you are attempting to achieve. All filters have masks that allow you to paint on the mask to control which parts of the filter are applied to the image. Painting black bocks the filters effects on the underling image. Inverting the filter, inverts the mask so that none of the filter effects the image. (Makes it all black). Painting white on an inverted mask will reveal the filters effects on the underlying image.

Thanks 😉

When I paint with a white color on the grey page with some parts of the photo displayed as shown as the screen shot above, that works : the page becomes again all grey but there is no button to change the settings of the HPF…

…and what I’d like is to change the settings.

Select filter layer and double tap. Will only work if you used a Live Filter setting on the HP Filter when you first applied it.
