lacertacz Posted November 11, 2022 Posted November 11, 2022 Czech hyphenation (Hunspell/OpenOffice) is very bad. Is there any way to use another language dictionary (e.g. Winsoft dictionary used by InDesign)? Quote
Dan C Posted November 11, 2022 Posted November 11, 2022 Hi Lacertacz, Information on adding hyphenation dictionaries is available in the help file: https://affinity.help/publisher2/en-US.lproj/index.html?page=pages/Text/hyphenationInstalling.html?title=Installing hyphenation dictionaries Lee Quote
lacertacz Posted November 11, 2022 Author Posted November 11, 2022 I know how to add dictionary, that is easy and described in FAQ. I will repaet: Is there any way to use another language dictionary (not Hunspell, e.g. Winsoft dictionary used by InDesign)? Thanks. Quote
Pyanepsion Posted November 11, 2022 Posted November 11, 2022 Hunspell dictionaries are particularly suitable for the English language, but not at all for other languages. In French, for example, a single word can vary according to gender, number, tense, declension… The Serif company should provide the relevant information to the developers of writing correction tools. For the French language, for example, there are 3 companies: Druide in Canada, with Antidote Diagonal in France, with ProLexis Synapse dévelopement in France, with Cordial. It would be nice if Serif could contact them. Dan C Posted November 11, 2022 Posted November 11, 2022 Apologies, I misread, unfortunately not. Lee Quote
