Is the internet connection only required for activation on V2 or is it needed when starting up too?

As per the title. Will V2 always try verify the license on startup or is that only at the time of activation.

Only required once at first run of each program.

Just to be crystal clear, it's just for activation.

Internet is also needed for checking for updates. And for automatically downloading Affinity Store content. But both of those can also be done manually, so it's not "required" for those I guess.
