Affectus Posted October 28, 2022 Posted October 28, 2022 Is it possible to open a pdf in Affinity Designer using the subset fonts in the pdf, so it displays accurately? Designer asks to substitute fonts from your library, which I don't aways have, rather than using the embedded subset fonts. Publisher has the passthrough option; is anything similar available for Designer? Or does anyone know of a work round? I'm occasionally asked to revise an ad I've received as a pdf and without the fonts used, it is often impossible. Quote

No. None of the Affinity applications make use of the fonts embedded in a PDF. For accuracy, you must have the fonts installed on your system. For displaying, yes, but you said you need to edit. That can't be done using Passthrough mode.
