NewToTheParty Posted August 27, 2022 Posted August 27, 2022 I have a shape of a house that I would like to "cut" into the key below it so that the background shows through. I have attached a pic of the two layers stacked. The boolean operations are grayed out at the top and neither layer has been rasterized. Any help is appreciated. Thank you in advance. Quote
thomaso Posted August 27, 2022 Posted August 27, 2022 If there are only vector objects than e.g. grouped layers can prevent from using Geometry options. The simplest would be to set the blend mode of the house layer(s) to "Erase". This mode will force rasterization on PDF output. – For alternative workflows you should show your Layers panel with the relevant layers unfolded. Remember that the key is 3D, so cutting out the silhouette of the house using Erase blend mode will require some more editing to make it look realistic/perfect.
