Nita Reed
Is there a way to look up WHY Affinity Photo is crashing? It's new... The last few days, it will only stay open for 5-10 minutes. I can't do anything!
RichardMH
Often it's hardware acceleration. Try turning it off. Edit->Preferences->Performance.

Staff Dan C Posted August 24, 2022 Staff Share Posted August 24, 2022 Sorry to hear you're having trouble @Nita Reed! As well as the above setting change, I'd also recommend making sure your GPU drivers are fully up to date, directly from the manufacturers website - as outdated drivers is one of the most common causes for crashing in Affinity. Please do let us know if this helps Quote Please note - I am currently out of the office for a short while whilst recovering from surgery (nothing serious!), therefore will not be available on the Forums during this time. Should you require a response from the team in a thread I have previously replied in - please Create a New Thread and our team will be sure to reply as soon as possible. Many thanks! RichardMH
Crash reports should be in %AppData%\Affinity\Photo\1.0\CrashReports\reports If you post one someone more clever than me may be able to see what is happening. Nita Reed
