Nita Reed Posted August 23, 2022 Posted August 23, 2022 Is there a way to look up WHY Affinity Photo is crashing? It's new... The last few days, it will only stay open for 5-10 minutes. I can't do anything! Quote
RichardMH Posted August 24, 2022 Posted August 24, 2022 Often it's hardware acceleration. Try turning it off. Edit->Preferences->Performance. Quote

This constant shutting down started a few days ago...I have no idea why. It's ever been problematic. Quote
Dan C Posted August 24, 2022 Posted August 24, 2022 Sorry to hear you're having trouble @Nita Reed! As well as the above setting change, I'd also recommend making sure your GPU drivers are fully up to date, directly from the manufacturers website - as outdated drivers is one of the most common causes for crashing in Affinity. Please do let us know if this helps Quote
RichardMH Posted August 24, 2022 Posted August 24, 2022 Crash reports should be in %AppData%\Affinity\Photo\1.0\CrashReports\reports If you post one someone more clever than me may be able to see what is happening. Nita Reed 1 Quote
