NicoftheDogs Posted June 12, 2022 Posted June 12, 2022 Just in the middle of a complex edit & my Save As has stopped working. I'm on a iMac. I can't Save, then Save As either. I don't want to lose this edit - does anyone have any suggestions? Quote
PaulEC Posted June 12, 2022 Posted June 12, 2022 Try saving to a different location, such as the desktop. NicoftheDogs Posted June 12, 2022 Author Posted June 12, 2022 Thanks Paul The Save As does nothing so can't save to anywhere. Is there another way? Quote
PaulEC Posted June 12, 2022 Posted June 12, 2022 I know that saving to external drives can cause problems, but if that isn't the problem, the only other thing I can think of is that you are trying to include "illegal" characters in the file name (which is unlikely). Hopefully someone else may have other ideas for a solution, maybe mac specific. In that case, the dialog might be appearing on a monitor you don't have active. NicoftheDogs Posted June 12, 2022 Author Posted June 12, 2022 Thanks @walt.farrell Although my second monitor was switched on & connected, the problem seemed to lie with that. It's now fixed. Thank you. Old Bruce 1 Quote
