Hello,

i tried many options, but i didn't find a way to add a background behind multiple elements.

For example, i want to have the autumn photo behind multiple rectangles, it should be visible in all of the elements.
But i dont want to have multiple copies of the background for each element.

Is there a way to do this, which i didn't find until now?

Thanks.

Do you mean behind (just drag it to the bottom of the stack) or within (as you've shown)?

The photo should be shown as background inside of the elements as in my example.

Until now i only managed it, to have it as background of one of the elements. But i need it as background for multiple elements.
Here in my example, the second rectangle should be filled too.

Maybe this screenshots shows better, what i want as result. Just without having multiple copies of the background image.

I think the easiest way to do this would be to use Compounds and put the image beneath them in the layer stack – see attached image.
One problem with this is that the image is not ‘confined’ to the shapes – it is simply ‘masked’ by the outer rectangle which will also mask any other layers beneath it.
If you need something different then we will probably need more information about how you are going to use this sort of thing.
