Problem with clip masks in multiple shapes.

Hello.

Today, I attempted to create a collage, using clipping masks.  I selected a batch of images to be imported into the project, via the 'Paste' option under 'File'.  Everything was fine until I tried to drag each image to the selected shape layer that I'd made using the shapes tool.  I would drag the image to the text area of the appropriate layer, the image layer would show underneath the shape layer (slightly shifted to the right)...and NOTHING would appear within the shape on the canvas.  So, after a few more attempts, I started fresh with a new project.  This time, I only imported ONE image, not a batch of them.  It worked.  While I was relieved to discover that simple workaround, it is time consuming and inefficient.  Is there a setting that I might have missed that needs to activate made to have this working the way it did a couple of weeks ago?

If you are dragging the image(s) to the Rectangle shape layer then the image does not appear because if you look in the FX dialogue for that Rectangle you have set the Fill Opacity to 0%

Shapes must have a fill to do what I believe you are trying to do

A common mistake being made by some users… They confuse the FX and Layer opacity settings with the Colour or Swatch opacity settings.

In case of the layer opacity it often happens to me that I want to set the image preview to fill the working space (Ctrl+0) and somehow miss to hit the Ctrl-key. Then the layer opacity will be set to 0%. Very confusing if you don't know that key for layer opacity. But if you are aware of it it is no bigger problem.
