Hello, I noticed that it was possible to scroll way past the First & Last Pages in the Editing Area. The Scroll bar reaches the Top/Bottom and stops, but I can keep on going Up/Down past the page. Also the scrolling for the "Page Tab" is much slower than in the Editing Area, is there a way to adjust that? Thanks!

Welcome to the forums @Omar_Affinity,

Are you wanting to just scroll quickly past the pages to get a look at the stuff on the pages? If yes then you have to realize that the pages will have to be rendered in memory and drawn to the screen. Depending on your machine and the document this may slow things down.

If you are wanting to get to a page in the middle quickly then use the page numbers at the bottom of the Pages panel. Type in 247 and you are at page 247, type 14 and you are at page 14.

Thanks for the Welcome @Old Bruce!

So this scrolling issue I'm having happens for the very First and Last Pages of the entire Project. For instance my current file has 10 Pages and once I reach Page 10 [Fully Rendered], I can keep on scrolling downwards below the page even though the scroll bar on the right stops. The same thing happens for the very First Page of the project, I can continue to scroll up past the page even though the scroll bar stops.

Hopefully this video of it helps (Sorry the Upload feature wasn't working):  Affinity Publisher Scrolling Video

I don't see the same as you. I can only scroll to just above or below the first and last pages (the pages don't disappear completely). Maybe it depends on the screen resolution (?). You say that you can scroll way past the ends of the document, although the scroll bar stops. How can you tell, once the document disappears, how far you've scrolled? (Obviously you can keep turning the wheel, but it doesn't do anything after you reach the ends of the document.) It looks like your document is only slightly off screen, as you only have to move the scroll bar slightly to see it again. The scrolling speed, for both thumbnails and document window, seems to depend on the zoom levels (i.e. the size of the pages). AFAIK you can only adjust the scrolling speed in the mouse settings, not for individual apps.

To be honest I'm not really sure what the "issue" is! Why is it a problem if you can scroll beyond the ends of the document? Just stop scrolling when you get to the first or last page. 😉

Are you now or have been running two or more monitors?

@Old Bruce I've been using my laptop with no extra monitors. I'm thinking it might be a resolution thing like Paul mentioned, since my screen has that odd 1366x768 Resolution. The scrolling's just an issue when I do those big scrolls on the touchpad and pass the first/last page. I just thought it was strange since Photo & Designer don't have this behavior. It looks like it might just be my computer 😄
