lindslb Posted March 30, 2022 Posted March 30, 2022 Hello, I hope I am asking this in the correct place. I created a table of contents with hyperlinks to the pages. When I test the hyperlink target in Publisher they go to the correct page. But when I export as PDF (flattened) some of the hyperlinks go to the wrong page. I was getting a invalid hyperlink on the preflight checklist and I deleted those lines and redid them. Which I now do not have those invalid hyperlinks but when I exported the PDF again I am still getting wrong destination for some of the pages. I did search the forum and saw someone else had a similar problem a few years ago but there was no tips on how to fix this. Can you please help me with this? Thank you! Lindsay Brown Quote
walt.farrell Posted March 30, 2022 Posted March 30, 2022 You seem to have some entries messed up. For example, in the Hyperlinks panel you have an entry named 34-37. If I select it and choose the Go To Source icon at the bottom of the panel, I see this: Note that the hyperlink source in the document seems to encompass two lines of your TOC. (And it seems that you hand-built your TOC, rather than using the functions in Publisher, if I'm interpreting things correctly.) In the PDF I exported, the 32-34 hyperlink goes to May, but the 35-37 hyperlink goes to July. That is probably somehow related to what you've done in that area. Joe California Posted September 5, 2022 Posted September 5, 2022 I have a similar hyperlink issue. I have a table / monthly calendar. The hyperlinks go to the correct date, but when it is exported to a PDF, each day of the week links to a single day. (example Sunday the 1st through Saturday the 6th, clicking on the day goes to the correct day in the journal. When exported to a PDF, every day links to Saturday the 6th.) Quote

Old Bruce Posted September 5, 2022 Posted September 5, 2022 I don't know how you set this up but the Hyperlinks panel shows links named January instead of October. I am wondering if the dates on the month's page are pointing to pages from January? Joe California Posted September 5, 2022 Posted September 5, 2022 O.B., Forgive me for the naming issue. However, in Affinity, when I go to the link, it is correct. When I export it to a PDF, it seems to link each weekday (except the last week, which seems to work) to the Saturday of that week. Quote
Old Bruce Posted September 5, 2022 Posted September 5, 2022 You have a messed up hyperlink it is the one named 11. Try renaming it, you'll get two copies with the new name and the original 11 will still be there. Old Bruce Posted September 5, 2022 Posted September 5, 2022 Just delete the table that is the month of October and rebuild the hyperlinks. I think you may have selected cells instead of dates and that is why the thing is messed up. Joe California Posted September 5, 2022 Posted September 5, 2022 Old Bruce, Thank you for that. I still don't understand how checking the links in Publisher take me to the appropriate pages but that gets lost when PDF'ing. Thanks again! Quote
