Steve "Ed" Posted March 16, 2022 Posted March 16, 2022 Mac Monterey (24inch imac) This morning I could select multiple images to paste on a page. Then downloaded Publisher 1.10.5 and now I can paste the first image but then it takes seconds to select next from the column of images and then I may get the beach ball of death. Have shut down and restarted Mac - no difference, tried a different set of selected image - no difference. Images are about 250K each from a folder. Help - or can I go back to a perfect 1.10.4? Quote
Staff NathanC Posted March 16, 2022 Staff Posted March 16, 2022 Hi @Steve "Ed", Could you try resetting the application to it's default settings by following the below steps: Hold down Control and open Publisher whilst still holding down control This should prompt for a new window 'Clear User Data' with three boxes checked at the top Press Clear, open your file and try again. If this does not resolve your issue, could you send a screen recording demonstrating your workflow which results in the beachball? Quote
Steve "Ed" Posted March 16, 2022 Author Posted March 16, 2022 Thanks for the quick reply. Before I tried your suggestion I gave the software another go. Opened from scratch and then: - selected 5 images at about 200K and they lined up page left as usual. And I can now paste them bang, bang bang. I have no idea why everything is at it should be - but thank you. I will keep your reply in case there's a repeat. Quote
Skelaya Posted March 17, 2022 Posted March 17, 2022 (edited) Hi, i have a similar problem. Since the last update i can not copy paste images. (Everything what i do got slower....) It always ends that the programm kills itself and i have to restart the whole publisher. I've tried multiple times, restarted my mac, tried on different days....it doesn't make any difference. Is there anything I can do, than working in the publisher beta? Can I go back to the older affinity version? Thanks, Melanie EDIT: The new Publisher Beta isn't working either.... If i place the picture again, instead of copy paste it is possible to work, but not really good. Edited March 17, 2022 by Skelaya Quote

If you are having an issue with the Beta version of Publisher, please post this on the Beta forum linked below. https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/forum/62-affinity-publisher-beta-forums/ Quote
