Thank you for the reply/video. Tried different fonts no change. Tried using the TEXT drop down menu for paragraph spacing and nothing - Leading BUT TEXT MENU/spacing AND short cut of opt+arrow (small keyboard no separate number pad) does work every time. Highly confused - tried different short cut commands and still noting for paragraph spacing. Thanks for the help to date, Steve

Thanks Old Bruce, Currently it works some of the time but I do not what to look for that might tell me why. I can live with and do the same thing in the Character menus for Leading.

Key board short cut for Paragraph Leading is Option + Up Arrow etc. In Publisher V1 does not work - none of the 4 options for Para leading. In Designer V1 it does. Have tried entering a different short cut but nothing works to change leading by using keys. All other k/board short cuts work as expected but not, for Publisher V1, adjust Leading. Doing it via Character Panel works as expected - only just discovered this short cut and does not work. Any thoughts much appreciated. Steve

When I open Publisher, all the pages are there BUT all the STUDIO selected bits are missing eg tools, pre-flight, assets etc. The only way to easily get them back is by choosing VIEW-STUDIO/Presets, Then all is well . This started, if memory serves, when I went to Ventura 13.0 - my first upgrade, some months ago. Caused havoc elsewhere!! Running Publisher 1.10.6 Also have Photo and Designer 1.10.6 and no issues. Thanks for the quick reply. Before I tried your suggestion I gave the software another go. Opened from scratch and then: - selected 5 images at about 200K and they lined up page left as usual. And I can now paste them bang, bang bang. I have no idea why everything is at it should be - but thank you. I will keep your reply in case there's a repeat.

Mac Monterey (24inch imac) This morning I could select multiple images to paste on a page. Then downloaded Publisher 1.10.5 and now I can paste the first image but then it takes seconds to select next from the column of images and then I may get the beach ball of death. Have shut down and restarted Mac - no difference, tried a different set of selected image - no difference. Images are about 250K each from a folder. Help - or can I go back to a perfect 1.10.4?

Apologies for late reply but the Instructions 1,2 &3 works - my favourite styles now open at the top of the list. Huzzah!

Hello Dan C, Problem solved. The page freeze was specific to one page and usually started after a few minutes of firing up Publisher 1.10.0. Before rolling back to 1.9.3 I tried deleting bits of the problem page until I eventually deleted the whole page and problem went completely. I re-built the page as it was was from scratch and no problems having run that publication for a week - keep adding to it. One oddity - when the page froze - same page every time - If I changed the page magnification then I could use cmd up/down arrows for while till the page/programme froze again - same specific page. Thanks for the response but it seem to be an oddity solved by deleting page and rebuilding - why - who knows. All good now, Steve

Thanks Walt for the quick reply - my Publisher always opens with the Default icons. Its not a great problem but a "wish list" thing. Steve

Could not find this issue - I did look. Despite the correction at the bottom the issue is back out of the blue Upgraded to Affinity Publisher 1.10.0 Yesterday everything was fine. Today in a multipage club booklet I do every week, the cmd + up and down arrows froze on page 4. The drop down menu for the same page up/down also frozen. 1. Restart programme works for a while then the freeze. 2. Physically dragging the pages to further in the booklet allows cmd + arrows to work TILL I get back to page 4. Problem non-existent in Publisher 1.9.3 Any suggestions welcome. Hello, I have 3 styles in the Styles drop down box - see image. Can we have or is there a way of putting them in the order I use most and opening with my "default"style rather than the "Default" that comes with Publisher. I want in the example, Flyer Styles to open first when I load publisher - excellent programme for all the the things I need to do.

Hello, Have tried to run Designer update 1.9.2 and get so far then the dreaded error message "failure to extract update". Tried restarting Mac (Mojave 10.14.6) no luck. Photo and Publisher updated to 1.9.2 faultlessly. Any thoughts please. Steve1812

Hello Walt, Something for your "background" knowledge. Out of the blue the above weirdness returned - set and anchor - and when used, the wrong page rolls up. I tried the following and to date no errors or weirdness: on a given page either clicked on a text box or an object and created a PAGE link. When that hyperlink was added to my contents page, the correct page was located. So Anchors questionable but Pages work. Anything changes I will drop you a line. Thanks for the advice etc. Steve

Help Walt, Update for your "background" knowledge. As mentioned all worked as expected in 1.8.6. Not so in 1.9.0 UNTIL I deleted a couple of pages that I had DUPLICATED including the original pages anchor. So I had 3 pages all the same with the same anchor. I deleted the two spare pages as an experiment and bingo, add anchor, add this as a hyperlink to my "contacts" page and the correct page is now found every time. Why, no idea except some sort of programme confusion that did not exist in 1.8.6 I am looking at videos for TOC but am having some trouble that I will sort to get it to work so I can use TOC. Hello again, This is a camera club weekly blog I suppose, with images, articles and news off the web. Not a professional thing with consistent heading text styles and the like - probably make a pro go giddy. That said, given the weirdness I am experiencing, I have two options. Roll back to 1.8.6 or learn about/adapt the blog to TOCs. Also wait to see if its picked up at the next version. Either way, thank you for the quick reply. Steve

Thanks for that Walt but the way I do things is as mentioned: I create a page, create an Anchor and then go back to my "contents" page and create the hyperlink connection - except it now (1.9.0) changes to a different page. See if I get anything back from the Feedback entry. Steve

Created a document that will become a pdf. Half of it in 1.8.4 - all anchor hyperlinks find the right pages. Upgraded to 1.9.0 Publisher and hopeless. I create an Anchor, add it to a contents line and it takes you to the wrong page. Checking the Hyperlink on my contents page and the Anchor I chose has changed to another in the Anchor list. Can reproduce this error - help as Anchors do nor work for me in 1.9.0 URLs and Page Hyperlinks do work as expected. Any suggestions welcome. Happy to video the effect too. Just installed Publisher 1.9.0 What have you done to the anchors/hyperlinks? Document I am working on all anchors work as expected - contents page takes to where I want - that was in 1.8.4. Now with 1.9.0 I highlight a word and select anchor - add that to the contents page and when I try "go the hyperlink page", I get the wrong one. Further when I check the hyperlink on my contents page the anchor has changed to some other already used anchor. I can not get anywhere with correcting this. Help please. Steve "Ed"

I have created 2 extra styles that have been added to the drop down you see in Studio-Styles. "Default" is always at the top and I want to be able to order them to suit me - default would be at the bottom. Can this be done in future updates? Thanks, Steve

Hello, Just installed Publisher 1.8.4 - all good but there's still an issue from 1.8.3. The spell checker works fine EXCEPT quite often when I have saved the work and then reopened it, the spell checker (preflight) suddenly finds spelling errors on other pages I have not found/been notified, last session. I have tried clicking all the buttons in preflight but this delayed finding of spelling errors still happens. Not every time but its noticeable. Any thoughts? Steve iMac: High Sierra 10.13.6
