J_357 Posted March 13, 2022 Posted March 13, 2022 In the middle of working, all my artboard items have disappeared and only a few items which are from past versions are still there. The file is pretty messed up, and I've worked on this for a good many months and now my 100+ artboards are all gone. It would be greatly appreciated if it could be recovered somehow, if possible. Attached is the file that is suddenly messed up. Mafia 3.afdesign Quote

Attached is the file that is suddenly messed up. I've open the file and was presented with a number of black artboards, however a lot of the contents of these have been turned off on the Layers Panel. In the attached afdesign file i've attached unhidden everything and this has restored some content. There are still some blank artboards but these all have no content on. J_357 Posted March 14, 2022 Author Posted March 14, 2022 Thank you so much for trying to help! However, the issue is that neither of anything that I have is currently there, all the hidden items are simply things I've removed in the past. Hidden items were not on any artboards prior to the file glitch, and they are not duplicated into almost every single artboard either. They just kind of replaced all my work. Quote
J_357 Posted March 14, 2022 Author Posted March 14, 2022 Would it be possible to check the file history? As far as I know (according to my research) there is no way to recover the file history on Mac since it deletes it after the file is saved. Quote
carl123 Posted March 14, 2022 Posted March 14, 2022 Do you have the Time Machine backup running on your Mac? Some people forget they activated it sometime in the past Quote To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum. If any of "my" posts are wrong or appear to be total b*ll*cks they are the ones generated by the AI. If correct they were probably mine. I apologise for any mistakes made by my AI - I'm sure it will improve with time.
J_357 Posted March 14, 2022 Author Posted March 14, 2022 Unfortunately not, I've never heard of that. I should start doing that. Quote
