IanBarber Posted March 11, 2022 Posted March 11, 2022 (edited) When using the intensity scope, I am seeing inconsistent results on Mac. I haven't tested on Windows. Placing an object with an L value of 60%. Here is a quick example of what I am seeing. Edited March 11, 2022 by IanBarber Quote
Staff NathanC Posted March 11, 2022 Staff Posted March 11, 2022 Hi @IanBarber, I've tried to replicate this on a new file but i'm getting different results, Could you attach the original file that you have used in your screenshots? Quote

Old Bruce Posted March 11, 2022 Posted March 11, 2022 This is a mismatch of using HSL on a Greyscale document. If you use a grey scale colour mixer you'll see 60% being 60%. Unless I am doing something wrong, when I use a Grey Channel Mixer or Color mixer I am still not seeing what I expected Edited March 11, 2022 by IanBarber Quote

What are you expecting? Are you wanting the grey to be 60%? I see you using the scope with HSL on a Greyscale document. Try using Greyscale with the scope. What are you trying to do with the channel mixer? there is only the one channel plus the Alpha in a greyscale document. Perhaps you are expecting something and are using the wrong values in a less than ideal set of tools. HSL doesn't work well with neutral grey. There is no Hue to change, there is no Saturation to change. IanBarber Posted March 11, 2022 Author Posted March 11, 2022 If I have a grey object with a Luminance value of say 60%, I would have thought that the scope intensity value would read 60%. Setting the luminosity to 100% makes the scope display 100 and setting the luminosity to 0% makes the scope show 0 but the values in between don't seem to represent properly on the scope. Quote
