Pixels at Edge of Clipping Masks

Recommended Posts

I use the iPad version. If i draw a vector shape, and then place another vector shape inside it in order to use the original shape as a clipping mask, there is a ring of pixels around the outer edge. It shows up in browser and after exporting. It happens on every document, and there is no stroke on the shape.

In the attached image, you can see the ring of pixels that separates the curved form from the blue background. This happens every single time.

This is a major flaw with a really fundamental feature and needs to be fixed immediately.

In the desktop version there is a ‘Use Precise Clipping’ option which is unavailable in the iPad version.

I don’t know why that’s happening. The ‘Use Precise Clipping’ option in the desktop version only affects the way the objects are displayed on the screen: the exported image always uses precise clipping.

If I recall correctly this issue has been reported a number of times over the years. Sadly, no fix yet but there’s always hope🙂
