Rumpelstilzchen
Please, enable anti-aliasing for the Flood Select tool – this is extremely important! Thank you in advance
NotMyFault
Did you evaluate if feather selection could help? anti-aliasing is normally used to optically smooth hard edges by blending colors of two layers. It seems unclear for me what you actually mean when using this term in context of selections (where only one layer is involved, and the selection has no color - it is pure alpha). Giving more context for what purpose you need this function, and an example could improve the chances of getting implemented. Rumpelstilzchen
Thank you so much for your helpful reply. The feather function is better than expected. But even if I choose the lowest value 0.1 px, it is not as crisp as Photoshop’s anti-aliasing. It's more blurred (I know, I can reduce the blur with the help of level adjustments). Staff MEB Posted February 10, 2022 Staff Share Posted February 10, 2022 Hi @Rumpelstilzchen, Welcome to Affinity Forums Thanks for your feedback. There's already an internal improvement request to add antialias to the Flood Select Tool but it's up to the management to decide if/when implement it. I do agree it's important, unfortunately is still missing in Photo. Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
