Hi,

I have a yellow rectangle and on top of it several circles (blue stroke, transparent fill) that are bigger than the rectangle and I'd like to only keep the part of the circles that fits into the rectangle. I tried intersecting the two using Geometry, but they both disappear. What am I missing? How can this be accomplished?

Thanks!

Like this? I duplicated the yellow rectangle and used it to clip the grouped items.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

Cool! Thank you! You used 'Mask to Below' to do this, right?

No. I used the Layers panel and physical dragged the rectangle into position.

‘Mask to Below’ would work, too, but if you use clipping instead of masking then you don’t need to duplicate the rectangle.

The ‘Intersect’ command leaves you with only the overlapping parts of the selected shapes.
