Thanks @Dan C This clears things up. However, I've seen this behaviour (orange dotted line on master page) even on masters that I haven't specifically edited on any single page it was applied to. Is it possible that Publisher interpreted a simple click on an element belonging to a master that has been applied on a page as a change? I'm trying to figure out what I'm doing wrong because I've run into this issue several times now while working with a document that is hundreds of pages long and reapplying masters to hundreds of pages got old really quick 😔

Master stopped updating
LaraJ replied to LaraJ's topic in Pre-V2 Archive of Affinity on Desktop Questions (macOS and Windows)
@walt.farrell When a master is disconnected, does the broken orange lines next to layers appear on the master page or the document page where the master is applied to? Because now I have another document that behaves the same and the broken orange lines next to layers appear on the master and if I duplicate those layers that have broken orange lines next to them and delete the ones with broken orange lines, they get fixed on the document page as well. I don't understand, how can layers on the master get disconnected? -
Master stopped updating
LaraJ replied to LaraJ's topic in Pre-V2 Archive of Affinity on Desktop Questions (macOS and Windows)
@walt.farrell I haven't made any changes directly on the pages for this master in particular (each page has 3 masters applied to it and I did make changes to one of the other masters, but updating that particular master works for the elements that were not updated on the page). On top of that, all layers of the master (the one that doesn't get updated) on the actual page have a solid orange line on the left. So it looks like the whole master was delinked or something. Is it possible to relink it without manually deleting it and adding it back for each of the hundreds of pages where it was applied in the first place? -
Hi, Is it possible to change a text style from All Caps to Title Caps (so only the first letter is capitalised), although the original text is not capitalised? Apparently, simply applying Title Caps to a word doesn't offer the possibility of updating the text style. Neither does it seem to be an option for Title Caps in the Text Style panel. Thanks!

Table lines
LaraJ replied to LaraJ's topic in Pre-V2 Archive of Affinity on Desktop Questions (macOS and Windows)
@carl123 I'm not sure I understand. The vertical table lines are grey and the top table line is black. Add a 0.25" black left vertical what? Another table? A line? Thanks! -
Intersect shapes

Cool! Thank you! You used 'Mask to Below' to do this, right? -
Intersect shapes
LaraJ replied to LaraJ's topic in Pre-V2 Archive of Affinity on Desktop Questions (macOS and Windows)
@Old Bruce yes, that's the effect. Except that I'm trying to accomplish this in Publisher so what's left of the circles stays as vectors. -
Hi, I have a yellow rectangle and on top of it several circles (blue stroke, transparent fill) that are bigger than the rectangle and I'd like to only keep the part of the circles that fits into the rectangle. I tried intersecting the two using Geometry, but they both disappear. What am I missing? How can this be accomplished? Thanks!

Hi, I have an image inserted as a linked resource and I was wondering if there's a way to rescale all it's occurrences in one go. I'm asking because said image is placed on dozens of pages and on every page is at a slightly different position (which is why I couldn't use a master) and now it looks like I might have to make it a bit bigger. Is this possible or do I have to edit the image on every single page? Thanks!

Hi, I'm using Publisher on MacOs to create a 650 pages document and the program keeps lagging. What's more, at the time of exporting the document as a PDF, it takes around to 5 minutes to export. Are there any ways to give Affinity Publisher more RAM or is there another solution to help it process faster? Thanks!

Thank you so much, @Ron P. -
Hi, Is it possible to create an automation sequence within Affinity Publisher (similar to the actions used in Photoshop)? Or can anyone recommend an automation app that would copy+paste text fields from page 1 to page 2, 3, 4 and so? (I need the text fields as they are, without using a master page). Thanks!

Multiple master pages
LaraJ replied to LaraJ's topic in Pre-V2 Archive of Affinity on Desktop Questions (macOS and Windows)
@Old Bruce Yeah, I think that's what I'll have to do in the end. Unfortunately, the document has hundreds of pages so I'll have to manually remove Master B from dozens of pages. I was really hoping a quicker solution was available. -
Multiple master pages
LaraJ replied to LaraJ's topic in Pre-V2 Archive of Affinity on Desktop Questions (macOS and Windows)
@Old Bruce It's more like I have masters A, B and C applied to page 1 to 4 and master A, B and D applied to page 5 to 8. I want to remove master B from pages 2 to 6.
