Import blocks from CAD software as symbols

Hi,

I would love to be able to import blocks from CAD files (DWG/ DXF/ 3dm) as symbols.
That way, I could severely reduce the file size and it would be a huge workflow improvement over Adobe Illustrator, because Illustrator is not capable of importing blocks as symbols either.

This would be an amazing feature! Definitely a game changer for many users & will make architects/engineers switch to affinity over adobe.

 

Could this be on the development wishlist?
