Gillfranco Posted January 13, 2022 Posted January 13, 2022 Hi, I am not sure if this is a "one off" or if anyone else has experienced this issue. I am using version 1.10.4.198 on a Windows 11 system. At the moment I am taking an online course in the use of Affinity Photo and currently looking at 'Filters and Layer Masks'. I have downloaded an example jpeg file to works on (as I have done for 30 plus previous sessions without difficulty) but when I come to work on this particular file, when I go to the filters drop down and try to select Blur, Sharpen, Distort etc. they are greyed out and unavailable. Using my own pictures and some previous examples from the course I do not get this issue. I am not sure if it is just this file or there is another issue. The course leader has been working on the issue raised but cannot replicate it. If no one else has experienced this I will put it down as a "One Off" and move on. Thanks for reading. Franco Quote

Staff MEB Posted January 14, 2022 Staff Posted January 14, 2022 Hi @Gillfranco, Welcome to Affinity Forums Make sure you have a layer selected in the Layers panel. If there's nothing selected there all the filters will appear greyed out. Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
NotMyFault Posted January 14, 2022 Posted January 14, 2022 And check that the jpeg layer is shown as pixel. If it is shown as of type image, you need to rasterize it.
