v_kyr
Well since we don't know how your document looks like at all and thus how it's layers are overall setup and structured, any advice here would be plain guessing! - If you show your doc here forum people can for sure better tell and help you! Are you trying to apply the mask just to the pixel layer or to everything below the mask in the Layers panel? Watching the Masking vs. Clipping Layers video may help clarify the different places layers can be moved to in the Layers panel & how that can change how many layers are affected. carl123
There are actually 2 blue horizontal bars, one spans the full width of the layers panel (which is the one you are seeing in your video) The second one is shorter and spans most of the length of the Layers panel but not all of it - this is the one you want When you see the full-length horizontal bar keep moving your cursor to the right until you see it change to a slightly shorter horizontal bar - that is then the position you want (The position where it changes to a shorter horizontal bar is just to right of the thumbnail) And yes, it's a bad design, they could have just made the shorter blue horizontal line change to a different colour (It's even harder to see, the change, when using the light user interface) Quote To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum. Not sure why that is, at the moment Can you place it on the layer called Background, it should then drop to the same position under the mask layer RokaDesign 1 Quote To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum. jimmyleg
Using 2.5.5. (1) Move the pixel layer directly on top of the parent layer of the mask. (2) Slide to the right keeping the pixel layer precisely over the parent layer. (3) Release. The pixel layer will transfer directly below the mask layer and behave as a child of the mask. A little touchy. Affinity Photo 2 2024-09-07 11-02-56.mp4
