jtomasini Posted November 30, 2015 Posted November 30, 2015 When I open RAW (NEF) files, they are often very bright and in some cases washed out. Adjusting exposure and or brightness helps, but then makes it hard to get the proper overall exposureI expect. The raw image looks fine on my camera and even Apple Preview, Pixelmator. Is there a setting I can adjust to resolve this? Attachment with Affinity on left, Pixelmator bottom right, Preview top right. All untouched, opened from same NEF. Staff Callum Posted November 30, 2015 Staff Posted November 30, 2015 Hi Jtomasini, Please could you turn off the Assistant by clicking the butler icon at the top of the app (see screenshot). Then could you please restart the app and re open your RAW file to see if it is now displaying correctly? C Quote Please tag me using @ in your reply so I can be sure to respond ASAP.

C I did this very same thing to turn off the assistant but I get a real unsaturated cr2 file, shot on Canon 7D. Its unsaturated less than Pixelmator and Preview which do seem to show the same-correctly I would say. Quote
