M1 Monterey and spinning wheel in Affinity Photo and also Affinity Photo Beta

Both the release and the beta now have the same spinning wheel of death, it is making the app completely unusable sadly with the M1. Just doing anything seems to generate the spinning wheel, move a path, spinning wheel, etc. A single panel displayed 'Layers' and that is that. Not going very well with Monterey and M1 and Affinity Photo sadly
