Hello everyone,

I have made my decision and switched from Adobe to Affinity. I just bought all three softwares and considering that I'm new to this, I have a quick and simple question.

I know this product is a one-time buy and I don't need to buy it again for future updates. But here pops up my question.

If Affinity releases like, a new BIG release, let's say Affinity 1.2 similar to how Adobe released Photoshop CS4 after CS3.

Do I have to buy it again or after my payment, for eternity I'm getting every update/major update/new version for free from now on?

Please, be patient and I'm sorry for my stupidity. I'm kinda lost in this place and I'm trying to get used to it.

Until later, long life Affinity. This forum and the software itself is a legit bless. I'm never looking back.

Oh, okay. So when Affinity 2.0 is going to be released, I'll have to buy it again. Thank you for clarifying it.

Only if you want the 2.0 bug fixes and new features. Version 1.x will continue to work as long as your operating system still supports it (but it’s unlikely that there will be any new 1.x updates after 2.0 is released).

I'll definitely go for the newest version always. I was just asking this because I'm legit traumatised by Adobe's enormous prices. Hopefully this software will keep it this way and prices won't go up that much. I never thought that I'll find something way better than Adobe. Affinity's softwares are a treasure.

L.E. Also, I'm sorry for questioning before searching. I have now looked over the forum and found out that others members already had the same question. I was just lost in space and did not think about searching before posting. I'll have this in mind for future posts. Now I understand how things work around here and it's awesome.
