On my set of seven ICC Profiles only one can be imported in Affinity Photo.  I submitted the issue to Christophe Métairie in France, he is the supplier who made my profiles specific to my printer, and in short, his answer is Affinity is probably not up to date with ICC 4.00 standard. (original in French follows)

According to Mr Métairie, my V1 profile is the only one of my set of seven I can use because it is a ICC 2.00 standard.

Unfortunately, the other ones I need, for Black and White in particular, are not working.

Here is the original answer by Mr Christophe Métairie:

Les profils V2 et BW sont à la norme ICC 4.00 alors que le V1 est a la norme 2.00

Affinity ne doit donc pas être compatible avec la dernière norme ICC ( qui date pourtant d'une bonne dizaine d'années ), je vous invite a voir avec l'éditeur du logiciel pour qu'il mette a jour son logiciel avec la dernière norme ICC.

(is web site is http://www.cmp-color.fr    also available in english)

I hope this information will be helpful to resolve this issue.

Merci beaucoup !

HI @Simon Gauvin,

Welcome to the forum

Can you please let me know the operating system that your are using as I installed a sRGB v4 standards from the ICC website on my Windows 10 PC and on my iMac running Monterey and Affinity Photo is able to use this profile on a document.

Bonjour,

English is my second language, I'm doing my best to make my point clear.  I hope it is.

My OS is Monterey 12.0.1 on a Mac mini (M1 processor).

I'm no programmer or specialist.  Just your basic friendly user.  My situation is simple; a service provider, CMP in France, created seven ICC profiles for me a few years ago.  Black and White is my main interest, I have four different profiles for BW, none of them can be loaded in AP at this moment.  The V1 color ICC profile I have is the only one I can load from my list of seven because is runs under 2.00 norm according to Christophe Métairie. (he knows, I don't)

Frankly, I'm sure there is a way to solve this situation, Affinity Photo, for me, is such a great product that I can't believe your developers would have misted a 10 years old change between 2.00 and 4.00 technical norm.  I doesn't make sense.

I will follow this forum hoping for a positive end, and to continue being a happy user and not a former client.

Bonjour MEB,

See the six ICC Profiles of interest to you.

Please note that I have tested and used the BW profiles in Photoshop Elements in the past.

All profiles for Glossy paper.  For Epson R2880 printer.

Merci.

Simon
