Gerri Posted November 18, 2021 Posted November 18, 2021 Hi Has anyone had this problem? I downloaded the latest version updates of all Affinity programmes I own and I am experiencing a 'glitching' and a 'stuttering effect' with disappearing menu buttons. I have reset the studio's but it keeps happening. It didn't happen with the previous version I am running the software on a Dell Inc. G3 3590, system is Microsoft Windows 11 Home (version 10.0.22000)and the upgrade was the Affinity upgrade 1.10.1. Any insight this issue would be great thanks! Gerri Quote
walt.farrell Posted November 18, 2021 Posted November 18, 2021 Perhaps you have some conflicting third-party software: Particularly Nahimic, which may only be visible if you look at the list of Windows Services that are running. Gerri Posted November 23, 2021 Author Posted November 23, 2021 Yes the issue of User Interface elements disappearing or appearing stretched is exactly my issue. The problem is I am not I.T knowledgeable enough to fix it! I can confirm that it may be a NVIDIA driver issue because essentially I use a gamers laptop to use Affinity. And by deduction it cannot be a windows 11 issue because I downloaded the recent Affinity updates whilst on Windows 10 and it still behaved the same way. In fact I was hoping that by downloading Windows 11 it would have sorted the issue, but it did not. HELP! Quote
PeteMacca Posted November 23, 2021 Posted November 23, 2021 As @walt.farrell said, it's most likely Nahimic - a service running on many gaming computers. The fix is outlined in the link he posted. Quote
Gerri Posted November 23, 2021 Author Posted November 23, 2021 @PeteMacca Yes I understand its just I am just not I.T savvy enough to be confident I am doing the right thing..but will study up on it. Quote
Gerri Posted November 23, 2021 Author Posted November 23, 2021 @walt.farrell Thank you, finally found how to access the windows services on windows 11 and have stopped the Nahimic service. Affinity works fine now. @PeteMacca Did my homework and finally found the Nahimic services! 😊 PeteMacca and walt.farrell 2 Quote
